Terms and Conditions
Effective January 1, 2026
Northport Concrete, northportconcretecompany.com, hello@northportconcretecompany.com
Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of the Northport Concrete website and any estimate or work you get from us. By using this site, asking for an estimate or hiring our crew, you agree to them, so please read them before you book.
If your job has its own written estimate or contract, that document controls wherever it says something different from this page.
The services we offer
Northport Concrete is a concrete contractor in Northport, AL. We pour and repair driveways, patios, sidewalks, slabs and other flatwork, which is the flat concrete you walk or drive on, along with steps, walls, footings and related jobs in Northport and the cities around it. You can read more about who we are on our About page, and the home page lists the work we do.
What you read on this site is general information about the trade and our services. It isn't a quote and it doesn't describe your job. The work we'll do for you is what your written estimate or contract spells out.
Estimates and pricing
We give free in-person estimates with no obligation, because we need to see the ground, the slope and where the water runs before we can price a job honestly. Your estimate is based on what we can see and measure that day.
Some things only show up once the old concrete is out and the ground is open, like soft or wet subgrade, which is the soil the slab sits on, buried roots, old fill or rock. If we find something that changes the work, we'll stop, show you, explain the options and get your okay before we do anything that adds cost.
Concrete and material prices change, so an estimate is good for the period written on it. After that, we may need to update it before we schedule your job.
Scheduling, weather and cancellations
Pour dates are targets, not promises. Rain, heavy heat, cold snaps and wet ground can all push a pour back, and we won't pour when the conditions would leave you with a weak slab. If we have to move your date, we'll call you and set a new one as soon as we can.
New concrete needs time to cure, which is the wait while it hardens and gains strength, before it can take foot traffic or a vehicle. We'll tell you when it's safe to use. Damage from walking, driving or parking on it early, or from people or animals getting onto it before it sets, isn't covered by us.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us as early as you can. Once we've ordered concrete or materials or moved equipment to your property, you may owe those costs as your written agreement describes.
Your part of the job
We need clear access to the work area for our trucks and crew, and we'll ask you to move vehicles, furniture and anything else in the way. Please show us your property lines and tell us about private lines in the ground, like sprinkler pipes, septic lines, drain lines or private electric, because public utility marking doesn't cover them.
Your written agreement will say who is responsible for any permit or neighborhood association approval the job needs. If you're not sure whether your job needs one, ask us before the work is scheduled.
Payment terms
Payment amounts, any deposit and due dates are set in your written estimate or contract. Unless that document says otherwise, the balance is due when the work is finished.
If a balance goes unpaid, we may use the remedies Alabama law allows to collect it, and you may be responsible for reasonable collection costs where the law permits.
What concrete does and what we warrant
Concrete shrinks as it dries and moves with the ground, so some cracking is normal. We cut control joints, which are the straight lines in the slab that give cracks a planned place to form, but no contractor can promise a slab will never crack. Hairline cracks, small color differences, and texture changes between pours or batches are part of working with concrete and aren't defects.
Any warranty on your job is the one written in your estimate or contract, and it covers only what that document says. It doesn't cover damage from settling of soil we didn't place, tree roots, drainage changes made after our work, deicing salts, heavy equipment the slab wasn't built for, or misuse.
Apart from any written warranty, and to the extent Alabama law allows, our work and this website are provided without other warranties, express or implied.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, Northport Concrete isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, such as lost use of a driveway or patio while it cures, or costs from delays caused by weather or conditions we couldn't see before the work started.
Our total liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. Nothing on this page limits a right you have under Alabama law that can't be waived.
Settling a disagreement
If something about your job isn't right, call us first at (205) 756-6874 or reach us through our Contact page. Most problems get sorted out fastest when we come back out, look at it together and agree on a fix.
If we can't work it out that way, we both agree to try mediation in good faith before going to court. Any lawsuit will be brought in the state courts serving Tuscaloosa County, Alabama.
Governing law
These terms, this website and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to rules that would apply another state's law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted here is the one in effect. Changes won't alter the terms of a job already covered by a signed estimate or contract.
If you have a question about anything on this page, use our Contact page or call (205) 756-6874 and we'll walk you through it.
